큰 요트가 바다 위의 집이라면, 텐더는 그 집에서 세상으로 나가는 자동차입니다.
YACHTRAVIS의 ‘WEST COAST TENDER LIFE’는 바로 이 생각에서 시작했습니다.
1990년대 미국 웨스트코스트 힙합 뮤직비디오에 등장하던 로우라이더 문화와 현대적인 요트 라이프를 하나의 장면 안에 섞었습니다. 항구에 정박한 대형 요트, 선미 Tender Garage에서 모습을 드러내는 작은 텐더, 물 위의 RIB, 야자수와 강렬한 햇빛, 그리고 크롬으로 빛나는 올드스쿨 로우라이더까지.
언뜻 전혀 다른 두 문화처럼 보이지만 공통점이 있습니다.
Low & Slow.
남에게 보여주기 위해 서두르는 것이 아니라 자신만의 방식과 속도로 움직이는 문화입니다.
로우라이더가 단순한 자동차가 아니라 음악·패션·거리 문화가 결합된 라이프스타일이었던 것처럼, YACHTRAVIS가 생각하는 요트 역시 비싼 배를 소유하는 것만을 의미하지 않습니다.
바다로 나가고, 닻을 내리고, 텐더를 내려 육지로 들어갔다가 다시 자신의 배로 돌아오는 것.
그 과정 자체가 하나의 라이프스타일입니다.
그래서 디자인의 중심에는 화려한 슈퍼요트만 두지 않았습니다. 실제 요트 생활에서 가장 자주 사용되는 작은 텐더와 RIB를 함께 배치했습니다.
“큰 배보다 작은 배가 더 많은 이야기를 만들 수도 있다.”
이것이 이 디자인의 숨은 주제입니다.
상단의 YACHTRAVIS 로고는 90년대 Chicano Lettering과 Lowrider Show Car의 크롬 레터링에서 영감을 받아 제작했습니다. 강한 존재감을 가진 로고 아래에는 요트, 텐더, 로우라이더, 야자수와 마리나 풍경을 한 장의 올드스쿨 힙합 앨범 커버처럼 구성했습니다.

YACHTRAVIS는 요트를 단순한 럭셔리의 상징이 아니라 자유롭게 이동하고, 탐험하고, 자신만의 시간을 만드는 하나의 문화로 바라봅니다.

Durable ribbed cuffs and double-stitched seams enhance longevity,
while ribbed fabric that minimizes shrinkage and distortion, along with neck taping, adds to the overall finish.

All the goods are newly manufactured in custom order and delivered.
If you order now, the manufacturing process begins on 9/28, and the goods are to be shipped out before 10/2.
